Nothing in the entire world compares with the human body. Birds, animals and other kinds of life have been made in a remarkable way, but nothing compares to what God created in humans. He created Adam and Eve last in His creation and gave them the highest place in creation. He wisely arranged for the other things He created to be ready for them first.
We read that “God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life” (Genesis 2:77And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)). This is an example of the Creator’s wisdom, for He designed our bodies to need nourishing food. Since the first man was formed from the earth itself, the plant life growing in the soil would supply the exact nutrients our bodies would need. When God “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life,” He gave humans a soul that would last forever, even after life on earth ended. He did not do this with any other creature.
The human body, from the soles of the feet to the hair on the head, is so extremely complex that it could only have been designed by a supremely wise and divine Creator. Scientists keep learning new things about the body’s wonders, but, apart from a Creator, man cannot explain how these things came about. For instance, many experts admit they cannot understand how our eyes work, and no wonder, when you think about all our eyes do.
It’s easy to say “the eyes see things,” but it’s not so easy to say, “I know how they do it.” Our eyes are always “taking pictures,” deciding what objects are by color, shape and size. In doing this they automatically focus immediately, whether the object is close or far away. These pictures don’t stay in our eyes, but travel to our brain, which immediately tells other parts of our body how to react. If our eye has seen something dangerous, our brain may tell our hands to shove it out of the way or instruct our legs to run far away from it.
In addition, our brain stores these pictures in our memory. When needed, our memory will bring the pictures back to us, even many years after they were first seen. They’ve been “on file” all the time, although we have not been aware of it.
Do you know the verse that says, “Thou God seest me” (Genesis 16:1313And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me? (Genesis 16:13))? The One who made our eyes also has eyes, only His eyes see everyone at all times, and He even knows our thoughts. Just as we remember everything we have seen, so does He, and one day we will stand before Him either as our Judge or as our Savior to answer for what we have done in our bodies.

Did You Know?
God gave humans a soul that will last forever, even after life on earth ends.
