. The meaning of the term is doubtful: Gesenius says the first name is perhaps from the
fertility
of their country, and the second signifies “noisy nations.” Fürst
judges
the first to signify “prominent ones, giants,” and the second “powerful, vigorous” (
Gen. 14:5
