Num. 11:25‑29• 25And Jehovah came down in a cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and put it upon the seventy men, the elders; and it came to pass, that when the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied, but they did not repeat it.
26And two men remained in the camp, the name of the one, Eldad, and the name of the other, Medad; and the Spirit rested upon them (and they were among them that were written, but they had not gone out to the tent); and they prophesied in the camp.
27And there ran a youth, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.
28And Joshua the son of Nun, the attendant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them!
29But Moses said to him, Enviest thou for my sake? would that all Jehovah's people were prophets, and that Jehovah would put his Spirit upon them! (Num. 11:25‑29)
1 Sam. 10:5‑6,10‑13• 5After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where are the outposts of the Philistines; and it shall come to pass, when thou comest thither, into the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with lute and tambour and pipe and harp before them; and they themselves prophesying.
6And the Spirit of Jehovah will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.
10And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.
11And it came to pass, when all that knew him before saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?
12And a man of that place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
13And when he had ended prophesying, he came to the high place. (1 Sam. 10:5‑6,10‑13)
1 Sam. 19:20‑24• 20Then Saul sent messengers to take David; and they saw a company of prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as president over them; and the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
21And it was told Saul, and he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they also prophesied.
22Then went he also to Ramah, and came to the great well that is in Sechu; and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, at Naioth by Ramah.
23And he went thither to Naioth by Ramah; and the Spirit of God came upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth by Ramah.
24And he himself also stripped off his clothes, and prophesied, himself also, before Samuel, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets? (1 Sam. 19:20‑24)
1 Cor. 12:10,28• 10and to another operations of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of spirits; and to a different one kinds of tongues; and to another interpretation of tongues.
28And God has set certain in the assembly: first, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers; then miraculous powers; then gifts of healings; helps; governments; kinds of tongues. (1 Cor. 12:10,28)
1 Cor. 13:2,9• 2And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

1 Cor. 14:1,3‑6,22‑25,29‑32,37‑39• 1Follow after love, and be emulous of spiritual manifestations, but rather that ye may prophesy.
3But he that prophesies speaks to men in edification, and encouragement, and consolation.
4He that speaks with a tongue edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies the assembly.
5Now I desire that ye should all speak with tongues, but rather that ye should prophesy. But greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks with tongues, unless he interpret, that the assembly may receive edification.
6And now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I shall speak to you either in revelation, or in knowledge, or in prophecy, or in teaching?
22So that tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to unbelievers; but prophecy, not to unbelievers, but to those who believe.
23If therefore the whole assembly come together in one place, and all speak with tongues, and simple persons enter in, or unbelievers, will not they say ye are mad?
24But if all prophesy, and some unbeliever or simple person come in, he is convicted of all, he is judged of all;
25the secrets of his heart are manifested; and thus, falling upon his face, he will do homage to God, reporting that God is indeed amongst you.
29And let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.
30But if there be a revelation to another sitting there, let the first be silent.
31For ye can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all be encouraged.
32And spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.
37If any one thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him recognise the things that I write to you, that it is the Lord's commandment.
38But if any be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
39So that, brethren, desire to prophesy, and do not forbid the speaking with tongues. (1 Cor. 14:1,3‑6,22‑25,29‑32,37‑39)
Rev. 11:3‑11• 3And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.
4These are the two olive trees and the two lamps which stand before the Lord of the earth;
5and if any one wills to injure them, fire goes out of their mouth, and devours their enemies. And if any one wills to injure them, thus must he be killed.
6These have power to shut the heaven that no rain may fall during the days of their prophecy; and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth as often as they will with every plague.
7And when they shall have completed their testimony, the beast who comes up out of the abyss shall make war with them, and shall conquer them, and shall kill them:
8and their body shall be on the street of the great city, which is called spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.
9And men of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations see their body three days and a half, and they do not suffer their bodies to be put into a sepulchre.
10And they that dwell upon the earth rejoice over them, and are full of delight, and shall send gifts one to another, because these, the two prophets, tormented them that dwell upon the earth.
11And after the three days and a half the spirit of life from God came into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon those beholding them. (Rev. 11:3‑11)
