We feel deeply interested in “Daleth’s” ease. Let him not be discouraged. There is love enough in the heart of God, efficacy enough in the blood of Jesus, virtue enough in the advocacy of Jesus, to meet a far worse case than his. Let him use the name of Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit, for the subjugation of any special besetment. The most effectual way of advancing in personal holiness, is to keep the eye steadily fixed on Jesus and His coming. “He that hath this hope in him, purifieth himself; even as He is pure” (
1 John 3:3
3
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. (1 John 3:3)
). We heartily commend our correspondent to God and the word of His grace.
