A Simple Conversion

I WAS leaving a hall, in which I had been preaching the gospel, when a man said to me: “Sir, I am very anxious to get salvation.”
“Then,” I said, “God is very anxious to save you.”
I reminded him that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:1616For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16).
He stopped me by saying: “But do you believe in Jesus?”
I replied, “Jesus said, ‘He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life.’ "
A look of astonishment and joy broke over his face as he said: “Then I’ve got it!”
