ACCEPTED in the Well Beloved,
But not through deeds of mine,
'Tis through the merits of the One
Both human and divine.
Accepted in the Well Beloved,
I stand in Him complete,
Redeemed, forgiven, brought to God,
Made for His presence meet.
Accepted in the Well Beloved,
God sees me now in Him,
In all the comeliness of Christ—
Heaven's blest and wondrous theme.
Accepted in the Well Beloved,—
Though clouds may dim the scene,
They ne'er can rob me of the place
I have, through grace, in Him.
Accepted in the Well Beloved
In whom all glories shine,—
Before the Father's face complete—
I'm His, and He is mine.
Accepted in the Well Beloved,
And soon in glory bright
With Him to dwell through endless days,
In scenes of purest light.
