Dost thou know Jesus, sinful one,
Oppressed with guilt and shame?
Dost thou not know that God's dear Son
For sinners once was slain?
Then come to Jesus if thou wouldst be whole,
His blood alone can cleanse thy guilty soul.
Dost thou know Jesus? Trembling one,
Why fear to trust His love?
Dost thou not know 'twas love alone
That brought Him from above?
Then trust in Him who gave Himself for thee,
Sweet proof of love, what stronger could there be?
Dost thou know Jesus? Canst thou dare
To doubt His power to save,
When God, His fitness to declare,
Has raised Him from the grave?
Then come to Jesus; why shouldst thou delay?
Cast off each doubt that keeps thee still away.
"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, He cannot see the Kingdom of God."
