2TI 3:2-42For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (2 Timothy 3:2‑4)
For men shall be . . . lovers of pleasures.
2 Timothy 3:2-42For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (2 Timothy 3:2‑4)
Lovers of pleasures - entertainment, sports, relaxation, money - abound in this and other developed nations. God is far from people’s thoughts. In fact, they will become so occupied with everything that is pleasing to them that when God judges the world with severe judgments in the tribulation, men will curse God rather than repent. We are indeed in the last times.
