Everlasting: October 1999

Eternity is for a long time! Even if we could think of something never ending, we cannot think of something that has no beginning, but the Bible says, “From everlasting [eternity] to everlasting [eternity], Thou art God” (Psalm 90:22Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. (Psalm 90:2)). God breathed into man’s nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul (Genesis 2:77And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)). Man will continue to live forever in one of two places. Therefore, how important it is to be sure of our eternal destiny! Read and believe John 3:1616For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16).
