"And they remembered his words." (Luke 24:8⁸And they remembered his words, (Luke 24:8)). How much mischief do we get into by not remembering God's words! When the Lord Jesus was tempted, He had the word of God at hand, and by that simple word He could claim the victory in the battle.

"THOU ART THE
CHRIST,
THE SON OF THE
LIVING GOD."

Matt. 16:16¹⁶And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. (Matthew 16:16).

"THE SON OF GOD,
WHO LOVED ME
AND GAVE HIMSELF
FOR ME."
Gal. 2:20²⁰I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20).
