Children all have precious souls;
‘Twas for such the Saviour died
‘Twas for such the Prince of Life
Was on Calvary crucified.
How it tells the matchless love.
Of the blessed Son of God,
Thus to come from heaven to bear
Sin’s tremendous, heavy load.
Had He not upon the cross
Borne the wrath that sin deserved,
Never had our happy ears
That sweet word SALVATION heard.
Now we hear the joyful sound
Of salvation full and free;
Faith in Jesus makes it ours,
Now and through eternity!
