I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
The Apostle Paul finds on one occasion that his “friends” have forsaken him. Instead of being bitter towards them, he prays for them and we see that there is no hint of reprisal or rebuke. He exhibits the same heart that the Lord Jesus had when on the cross He said, “Father, forgive them.” What a great thing to have a forgiving spirit. This is truly the spirit of Christ.
