Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
If we do a work for the Lord so that we will get recognition from others, then we lose any reward that God may have given. We need to be very, very humble in what we do and have only two objects in mind - God’s glory and honor, and the blessing of others.
