Jonathan, David’s friend, loathed such characters with his whole heart! O my brother! do you love? “Every one,” it is said, “that loveth Him that begat, loveth him also that is begotten of Him.” The more of Christ you see in anyone, do you draw the closer to him? do you love him in spite of his defects?
