Isaiah 26:3
3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (Isaiah 26:3)
I believe that the Cunard Line of steamers is a good line, and that if I would get on board of one of them next week, I would arrive in England in about a week. But if I don’t board, I wouldn’t get to England, regardless of how sure I am of the steamer’s capability to bring me there. We want a laying-hold belief. God offers Christ; we want not only to believe that, but to take Him. The Old Testament word for belief is trust.
Isaiah 26:3
3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (Isaiah 26:3)
says, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee.”
