‘Tis not by deeds that win the praise of men,
Or glitter with the glory of this world,
That I may magnify my Master best:
Or hasten on the coming of the day
When He shall reign as King and Lord of all.
All that He asks is that with all my heart
I will to do His will in everything:
That He may have His way in me, for me,
With me, through me, until at last there comes
Such perfect union, and such sweet accord
Between the glorious Lord of all the worlds
And me, His willing servant here below,
“That in all things He has pre-eminence.”
