Echoes of Grace: 1955
"Being justified freely by His grace... through faith in His blood."
Rom. 3:24, 25
24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; (Romans 3:24‑25)
.
The source of justification is the free and sovereign grace of God, who sent His only begotten Son to be our Savior.
The basis of justification is the precious blood of Christ shed for our sins on the cross.
The means of justification is the believer's faith which believes God and receives Christ as Savior and Lord.
The result of justification is that our faith is reckoned to us as righteousness. God becomes our Defender. "It is God that justifieth."
Rom. 8:33
33
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. (Romans 8:33)
.
