Perfection

MAT 19:21²¹Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. (Matthew 19:21)

If thou wilt be perfect, go . . . sell . . . give . . . and come and follow Me.

A young man posed a question to the Lord that ended up in the response that is in our verse today. It wasn’t what the young man wanted to hear. We read that he went away sorrowful, because he was very rich and didn’t want to lose it. His riches meant more to him than the Lord did and he could not be happy. Put the Lord first in your life. You’ll always be glad that you did.
