There came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
Praise from the heart will fill the house of God. God delights when we praise His Son. The scene we have here, of the queen of Sheba giving abundance of spices to the king, is just a picture of the abundance of odors that ascend to God when we come together to praise the Lord Jesus. Remember the one in John’s gospel who anointed the Lord’s feet with an ointment? It says in chapter 12:3, “The house was filled with the odor of the ointment.” So, too, our praise of Jesus will fill the house and be acceptable to God.
