To the chief musician upon Muth-labben,{HR}A Psalm of David.{HR}I will praise Jehovah with all my heart,{HR}I will tell all thy marvellous works.
I will be glad and exult in thee,{HR}I will sing praises to thy name, O Most High.
When mine enemies turn back,{HR}They stumble and perish from before thee.
For thou hast maintained my cause and my right;{HR}Thou satest upon the throne, judging righteously.
Thou hast rebuked the Gentiles,{HR}Thou hast destroyed the wicked,{HR}Their name hast thou blotted out for ever and ever.
O enemy, the desolations are completed forever,{HR}And thou hast destroyed cities;{HR}The remembrance of them hath perished.
But Jehovah sitteth forever;{HR}He hath established his throne for judgment.
And he, even he, will judge the world in righteousness;{HR}He will judge the nations in righteousness.
And Jehovah will be a refuge for the oppressed,{HR}A refuge in times of distress.
And they who know thy name will trust in thee;{HR}For thou hast not forsaken those who seek thee, O Jehovah.
Sing praises unto Jehovah, who inhabiteth Zion;{HR}Declare ye among the peoples his deeds.
For he who inquireth after bloodshed hath remembered them;{HR}He hath not forgotten the cry of the afflicted.
Be merciful unto me, O Jehovah;{HR}Look upon mine affliction from those who hate me,{HR}Lifting me up from the gates of death;
In order that I may recount all thy praises in the gates of the daughter of Zion,{HR}[That] I may rejoice in thy salvation.
The Gentiles have sunk into the pit [which] they made;{HR}In the very net [which] they hid is their foot taken.
Jehovah is become known;{HR}He hath executed judgment:{HR}In the work of his own hands the wicked [man] is ensnared.{HR}Higgayon. Selah.
The wicked shall turn back into Sheol{HR}All [the] Gentiles [that are] forgetful of God.
For not forever shall the poor be forgotten,{HR}Nor shall the expectation of the humble perish everlastingly.
Arise, O Jehovah: let not man become strong;{HR}Let the Gentiles be judged before thy face.
Put thou fear into them, O Jehovah;{HR}The Gentiles shall know that they are but men. Selah.
