(pit). (1) A son of Abraham (Gen. 25:2²And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. (Genesis 25:2); 1 Chron. 1:32³²Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan. (1 Chronicles 1:32)). (2) Brother of Chelub (1 Chron. 4:11¹¹And Chelub the brother of Shuah begat Mehir, which was the father of Eshton. (1 Chronicles 4:11)). (3) (Gen. 38:2,12²And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her. (Genesis 38:2)
