Soon With Him

AND is it so, blest Saviour,
I shall soon be home with Thee?
Behold Thee in Thy glory?
And ever with Thee be?
Shall I soon hear the summons,
To go from earth away,
To scenes of brightest glory
In heaven's eternal day?
Shall I soon leave behind me,
This scene with all its woe?
And see Thee, precious Saviour?
Thy wondrous love to know?
Ah, yes, I'm soon to see Thee
In glory, face to face,
And prove the wondrous fulness
Of all Thy love and grace.
I'm soon to hear Thee call me
To rest with Thee above,
To bask within the sunshine
Of Thine unchanging love.
Then keep me, blessed Master,
Each moment as it flies,
With girded loins for service,
And heavenward keep mine eyes.
May naught of earth encumber,
But may I long each day
To leave this world behind me,
In heaven my home to stay.
Soon to be in Thy presence,
And never from Thee part,
Thyself my constant portion,
The Object of my heart!
