—This is a technical word commonly used to mean the believer’s position in Christ before God as opposed to STATE (see STATE). Naturally, my
standing
is in the flesh (Rom. 8), and in Adam (Rom. 5), but now I am in Christ (

). As to my standing I am justified, sanctified, perfect, and complete in Christ, brought into the holiest (Heb. 10), on the ground of redemption.
