Standing

—This is a technical word commonly used to mean the believer’s position in Christ before God as opposed to STATE (see STATE). Naturally, my standing is in the flesh (Rom. 8), and in Adam (Rom. 5), but now I am in Christ (Rom. 8:11There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1)). As to my standing I am justified, sanctified, perfect, and complete in Christ, brought into the holiest (Heb. 10), on the ground of redemption.
