Mrs. White appeals to history to prove that the Pope of Rome arbitrarily changed the day of rest from Saturday to Sunday, but the evidence is all the other way. From earliest times, before a Pope of Rome was thought of, the early Christians were accustomed to observe the first day of the week as a day of rest and worship.
And now there remains only to sketch briefly the rest of this wicked system.
