We are a nation of hero worshippers - particularly in sports accomplishments. A “Hall of Fame” society. But do you know whose names hang in the Lord’s “Hall of Fame”? Not the winner of the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament. Not the fastest runner in the 100 meter race. Not the winner of the Indianapolis 500. No, not this world’s heroes but those that fear Him, those who have trusted in Jesus as Saviour. We are the ones in whom the Lord finds His pleasure - even if we’re losers in the school sports. Jesus doesn’t care that you never made it onto the ball team. He takes His pleasure in you because you are a Christian.
