There are three great events, narrated in the Bible, which have these four marks, viz: the Passover in Egypt, the deliverance of the Jews from their enemies, through the intervention of Queen Esther, and celebrated to this day in the Feast of Purim, and the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We propose to confine our remarks to the first and last of these events, as being vital to our inquiry.
