The Whole Body

The believer’s heart is waiting for the Lord from heaven (1 Thess. 1:10¹⁰And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. (1 Thessalonians 1:10)).

The believer’s eyes are watching for His appearing (Heb. 10:25²⁵Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25)).

The believer’s hands are working, abounding in “every good work” (2 Cor. 9:8⁸And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (2 Corinthians 9:8)).

The believer’s feet are walking—in love (Eph. 5:2²And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savor. (Ephesians 5:2)).

The believer’s ears are listening. Jesus said, “Hear, and understand” (Matt. 15:10¹⁰And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: (Matthew 15:10)).

The believer’s mouth is glorifying God. “With one mind and one mouth glorify God” (Rom. 15:6⁶That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:6)).
