Jesus, Thou hast saved my soul,
Keep me ‘neath Thy watchful care.
In Thy bosom let me rest,
Safe from every hurtful snare.
Keep me, Jesus, I am weak,
And my heart to sin is prone;
Give me power to live to Thee,
Blessed Lord, to Thee alone.
When to evil I would yield,
Interpose Thy mighty arm;
Should the tempest threaten me,
Quell its fury, stay the storm.
Should I fear to bear the cross,-
Fear to own Thy precious name;
O revive my feeble love,
Fan, oh fan, the flickering flame!
Should temptation woo my heart,
And the world by smiles allure,
Whisper words of glory to me,
Hold me from the tempter’s power.
Keep me, Jesus, day by day,
Let me take each step with Thee,
Proving as the moments fly,
All Thy love, so vast and free.
