Behold how plain the truth is made:
Since Christ the ransom price has paid,
And all our sins on Him were laid,
We must in Him be saved.
The death of Christ upon the cross
Was for the judgment due to us;
He died that He might ransom us
To live by faith in Him.
By raising Jesus from the dead,
Our blessed God has surely said
That He accepts the blood He shed
As cleansing us from sin.
