When Abigail saw David, she hasted . . . and fell before David on her face, and bowed herself to the ground.
You can’t get a better picture than this one of what our attitude should be when we come to worship the Lord. Everything that Abigail did in our verse today was spontaneous. Our worship should also be spontaneous when we get into the presence of the King of kings. Abigail recognized her nothingness in the presence of David, her king. We should too when we come into the presence of our King.
