Noah builded an altar unto the Lord . . . and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the Lord smelled a sweet savor.
The life of Noah and his family had been spared by a merciful God. They had all survived the flood and were standing on new ground. The first thing that Noah did was to build an altar and offer a sacrifice to God. God received the offering and smelled it as a sweet savor. Thankful hearts worshipped and God accepted their worship. So too for us. Only thankful, saved hearts can offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving and praise that God will accept and be pleased with. Let’s worship in sincerity today.
