Proverbs 25:25²⁵As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country. (Proverbs 25:25); 2 Corinthians 5:14¹⁴For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: (2 Corinthians 5:14); Romans 5:6, 8⁶For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. (Romans 5:6)
⁸But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

It is said that Tennyson once asked an old Christian woman if there was any news.

“Why, Mr. Tennyson,” she replied, “there’s only one piece of news that I know, and that is — Christ died for all men.”

“That is old news, and good news, and new news,” Tennyson responded.
