The Scripture is quite clear that bribery and favoritism are wrong. Unfortunately, a lot of politics consists of just that - you do me a favor now and I will do one for you after I’m elected. Honest decisions cannot be made when money or friendships get in the way. James, in his letter, warns against showing favoritism in the assembly. Let’s be careful to treat everyone the same.
