What need he complain of the world’s emptiness that hath God’s fullness?
“The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance” (
Psa. 16:5

The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. (Psalm 16:5)

Then let the lines fall where they will, in a sick bed, or prison, I will say,
“The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage” (
Psa. 16:6
