1. PRAYER. O that thou wouldest bless me indeed! 1 Chron. 4:10¹⁰And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. (1 Chronicles 4:10).

PROMISE. The Lord will bless his people with peace. Psa. 29:11¹¹The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. (Psalm 29:11).

2. PRAYER. Teach me thy way, O Lord. Psa. 86:11¹¹Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. (Psalm 86:11).

PROMISE. The meek will he teach his way. Psa. 25:9⁹The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. (Psalm 25:9).

3. PRAYER. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Prov. 30:8⁸Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: (Proverbs 30:8).

PROMISE. The Lord shall give that which is good. Psa. 85:12¹²Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. (Psalm 85:12).

4. PRAYER. Feed me with food convenient for me. Prov. 30:8⁸Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: (Proverbs 30:8).

PROMISE. The Lord shall feed thee with the heritage of Jacob. Isa. 58:14¹⁴Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. (Isaiah 58:14).

5. PRAYER. O satisfy us early with thy mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Psa. 90:14¹⁴O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. (Psalm 90:14).

PROMISE. My people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the Lord. Jer. 31:14¹⁴And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the Lord. (Jeremiah 31:14).

6. PRAYER. Keep me in this way that I go. Gen. 28:20²⁰And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, (Genesis 28:20).

PROMISE. He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Psa. 91:11¹¹For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. (Psalm 91:11).

7. PRAYER. O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Psa. 116:4⁴Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. (Psalm 116:4).

PROMISE. He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. Psa. 91:3³Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. (Psalm 91:3).

8. PRAYER. Preserve me, O God; for in thee do I put my trust. Psa. 16:1¹<<Michtam of David.>> Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. (Psalm 16:1).

PROMISE. The Lord preserveth the faithful. Psa. 31:23²³O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. (Psalm 31:23).

9. PRAYER. For thy name's sake lead me and guide me. Psa. 31:3³For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. (Psalm 31:3).

PROMISE. The Lord shall guide thee continually. Isa. 58:11¹¹And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. (Isaiah 58:11).

10. PRAYER. O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed. Psa. 6:2²Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed. (Psalm 6:2).

PROMISE. I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds. Jer. 30:17¹⁷For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. (Jeremiah 30:17).

11. PRAYER. Forgive us our sins Luke 11:4⁴And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. (Luke 11:4).

PROMISE. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1: 9.

12. PRAYER. Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee Psa. 28:2²Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle. (Psalm 28:2).

PROMISE. I have heard thy prayer, and thy supplication, which thou hast made before me. 1 Kings, 9:3.

13. PRAYER. O continue thy loving-kindness unto them that know thee. Psa. 36:10¹⁰O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. (Psalm 36:10).

PROMISE. My loving-kindness will I not take from him. Psa. 89:33³³Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. (Psalm 89:33).

14. PRAYER. Comfort me. Song of Sol. 2:5⁵Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love. (Song of Solomon 2:5).

PROMISE. I will comfort you, and ye shall be comforted. Isa. 66:13¹³As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. (Isaiah 66:13).

15. PRAYER. Let thy mercies come unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation. Psa. 119:41⁴¹VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy word. (Psalm 119:41).

PROMISE. Behold, thy salvation cometh. Isa. 62:11¹¹Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. (Isaiah 62:11).

16. PRAYER. Strengthen thou me according to thy word. Psa. 119:28²⁸My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word. (Psalm 119:28).

PROMISE. I will strengthen thee. Isa. 41:10¹⁰Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10).

17. PRAYER. Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts. Psa. 125:4⁴Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts. (Psalm 125:4).

PROMISE. I will rejoice over them to do them good. Jer. 32:41⁴¹Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. (Jeremiah 32:41).

18. PRAYER. O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes. Psa. 119:5⁵O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! (Psalm 119:5).

PROMISE. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Prov. 3:6⁶In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:6).

19. PRAYER. Teach me to do thy will. Psa. 143:10¹⁰Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. (Psalm 143:10).

PROMISE. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine whether it be of God. John 7:17¹⁷If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. (John 7:17).

21. PRAYER. Save us, O God of our salvation. 1 Chron. 16:35³⁵And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise. (1 Chronicles 16:35).

PROMISE. Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation Isa, 45:17.

22. PRAYER. Deliver our lives from death. Josh. 2:13¹³And that ye will save alive my father, and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death. (Joshua 2:13).

PROMISE. Because I live, ye shall live also. John 14:19¹⁹Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. (John 14:19).

23. PRAYER. Unite my heart to fear thy name. Psa. 86:11¹¹Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. (Psalm 86:11).

PROMISE. I will put my fear in their hearts. Jer. 32:40⁴⁰And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. (Jeremiah 32:40).

24. PRAYER. Cast me not away from thy presence. Psa. 51:11¹¹Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. (Psalm 51:11).

PROMISE. I will not cast them away. Lev. 26:44⁴⁴And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the Lord their God. (Leviticus 26:44).

25. PRAYER. Give us this day our daily bread. Matt. 6:11¹¹Give us this day our daily bread. (Matthew 6:11).

PROMISE. Bread shall be given him; his water shall be sure. Isa. 33:16¹⁶He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. (Isaiah 33:16).

26. PRAYER. Deliver me from the hand of mine enemies. Psa. 31:15¹⁵My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. (Psalm 31:15).

PROMISE. The Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies. Mic. 4:10¹⁰Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies. (Micah 4:10).

27. PRAYER. Lord, save us; we perish. Matt. 8:25²⁵And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. (Matthew 8:25).

PROMISE. There shall not a hair of your head perish. Luke 21:18¹⁸But there shall not an hair of your head perish. (Luke 21:18).

28. PRAYER. Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us. Psa. 90:17¹⁷And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. (Psalm 90:17).

PROMISE. He will beautify the meek with salvation. Psa. 149:4⁴For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. (Psalm 149:4).

29. PRAYER. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth. Psa. 57:11¹¹Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth. (Psalm 57:11).

PROMISE. Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psa. 46:10¹⁰Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. (Psalm 46:10).
