God is, to His people. Psa. 3:3³But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. (Psalm 3:3). Zech. 2:5⁵For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her. (Zechariah 2:5).

Christ is, to His people. Isa. 60:1¹Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1) Luke 2:32³²A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. (Luke 2:32).

The gospel ordained to be, to saints. 1 Cor. 2:7⁷But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: (1 Corinthians 2:7).

Of the gospel, exceeds that of the law. 2 Cor. 3:9, 10⁹For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. ¹⁰For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. (2 Corinthians 3:9‑10).

The joy of saints is full of. 1 Peter 1:8⁸Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: (1 Peter 1:8).

SPIRITUAL

Is given by God. Psa. 84:11¹¹For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11).

Is given by Christ. John 17:22²²And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: (John 17:22).

Is the work of the Holy Ghost 2 Cor. 3:18¹⁸But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18).

ETERNAL

Procured by the death of Christ. Heb. 2:10¹⁰For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. (Hebrews 2:10).

Accompanies salvation by Christ. 2 Tim. 2:10¹⁰Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (2 Timothy 2:10).

Inherited by saints. 1 Sam. 2:8⁸He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them. (1 Samuel 2:8). Psa. 73:24²⁴Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. (Psalm 73:24). Prov. 3:35³⁵The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. (Proverbs 3:35). Col. 3:4⁴When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:4). 1 Peter 5:10¹⁰But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (1 Peter 5:10).

Saints called to. 2 Thess. 2:14¹⁴Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 2:14). 1 Peter 5:10¹⁰But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (1 Peter 5:10).

Saints afore prepared unto. Rom. 9:23²³And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, (Romans 9:23).

Enhanced by present afflictions. 2 Cor. 4:17.

Present afflictions not worthy to be compared with. Rom. 8:18¹⁸For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18).

Of the Church shall be rich and abundant. Isa. 60:11-13¹¹Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. ¹²For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted. ¹³The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. (Isaiah 60:11‑13).

The bodies of saints shall be raised in. 1 Cor. 15:43⁴³It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: (1 Corinthians 15:43). Phi. 3:21.

Saints shall be of their ministers. 1 Thess. 2:19, 20¹⁹For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? ²⁰For ye are our glory and joy. (1 Thessalonians 2:19‑20).

TEMPORAL

Is given by God. Dan. 2:37³⁷Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. (Daniel 2:37).

Passeth away. 1 Peter 1:24²⁴For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: (1 Peter 1:24).

The devil tries to seduce by. Matt. 4:8⁸Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; (Matthew 4:8).

Of hypocrites turned to shame. Hos. 4:7⁷As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame. (Hosea 4:7).

Seek not, from man. Matt. 6:2²Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. (Matthew 6:2). 1 Thess. 2:6⁶Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. (1 Thessalonians 2:6).

OF THE WICKED

Is in their shame. Phi. 3:19.

Ends in destruction. Isa. 5:14¹⁴Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. (Isaiah 5:14).
