Prepared to seek God. 2 Chr. 19:3³Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek God. (2 Chronicles 19:3). Ezra 7:10¹⁰For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments. (Ezra 7:10). Psa. 10:17¹⁷Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: (Psalm 10:17).

Fixed on God. Psa. 57:7⁷My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. (Psalm 57:7). Psa. 112:7⁷He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. (Psalm 112:7).

Joyful in God. 1 Sam. 2:1¹And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. (1 Samuel 2:1). Zech. 10:7⁷And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the Lord. (Zechariah 10:7).

Perfect with God. 1 Kin. 8:61. Psa. 101:2²I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. (Psalm 101:2).

Upright. Psa. 97:11¹¹Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. (Psalm 97:11). Psa. 125:4⁴Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts. (Psalm 125:4). Clean. Psa. 73:1¹<<A Psalm of Asaph.>> Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart. (Psalm 73:1).

Pure. Psa. 24:4⁴He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. (Psalm 24:4). Matt. 5:8⁸Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. (Matthew 5:8).

Tender. 1 Sam. 24:5⁵And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt. (1 Samuel 24:5). 2 Kin. 22:19.

Single and sincere. Acts 2:46⁴⁶And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, (Acts 2:46). Heb. 10:22²²Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:22).

Honest and good. Luke 8:15¹⁵But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. (Luke 8:15).

Broken, contrite. Psa. 34:18¹⁸The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. (Psalm 34:18). Psa. 51:17¹⁷The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. (Psalm 51:17).

Obedient. Psa. 119:112¹¹²I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end. (Psalm 119:112). Rom. 6:17¹⁷But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. (Romans 6:17).

Filled with the law of God. Psa. 40:8⁸I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. (Psalm 40:8). Psa. 119:11¹¹Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119:11).

Awed by the word of God. Psa. 119:161¹⁶¹SCHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word. (Psalm 119:161).

Filled with the fear of God. Jer. 32:40⁴⁰And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. (Jeremiah 32:40).

Meditative. Psa. 4:4⁴Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. (Psalm 4:4). Psa. 77:6⁶I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search. (Psalm 77:6).

Circumcised. Deut. 30:6⁶And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. (Deuteronomy 30:6). Rom. 2:29²⁹But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. (Romans 2:29).

Void of fear. Psa. 27:3³Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. (Psalm 27:3).

Desirous of God. Psa. 84:2²My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. (Psalm 84:2).

Enlarged. Psa. 119:32³²I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart. (Psalm 119:32). 2 Cor. 6:11¹¹O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. (2 Corinthians 6:11).

Faithful to God. Neh. 9:8⁸And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous: (Nehemiah 9:8).

Confident in God. Psa. 112:7⁷He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. (Psalm 112:7).

Sympathizing. Jer. 4:19¹⁹My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war. (Jeremiah 4:19). Lam. 3:51⁵¹Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of all the daughters of my city. (Lamentations 3:51).

Prayerful. 1 Sam. 1:13¹³Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. (1 Samuel 1:13). Psa. 27:8⁸When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. (Psalm 27:8).

Inclined to obedience. Psa. 119:112¹¹²I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end. (Psalm 119:112).

Wholly devoted to God. Psa. 9:1¹<<To the chief Musician upon Muthlabben, A Psalm of David.>> I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvellous works. (Psalm 9:1). Psa. 119:10, 69, 145¹⁰With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. (Psalm 119:10)
⁶⁹The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart. (Psalm 119:69)
¹⁴⁵KOPH. I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will keep thy statutes. (Psalm 119:145).

Zealous. 2 Chr. 17:6⁶And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah. (2 Chronicles 17:6). Jer. 20:9⁹Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. (Jeremiah 20:9).

Wise. Prov. 10:8⁸The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. (Proverbs 10:8). Prov. 14:33³³Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known. (Proverbs 14:33). Prov. 23:15¹⁵My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. (Proverbs 23:15).

A treasury of good. Matt. 12:35³⁵A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. (Matthew 12:35).
