Hebronites

Descendants of Hebron the son of Kohath. They were a numerous and important Levitical family. On the west of the Jordan Hashabiah and his brethren, 1700 “men of valor,” were officers of Israel; and on the east, Jerijah and his brethren, 2700 “mighty men of valor,” were over the two and a half tribes (Num. 3:2727And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izeharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites.
