Descended from Canaan's son, Heth. Gen. 10:15¹⁵And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, (Genesis 10:15).

CALLED THE

Sons of Heth. Gen. 23:3, 20³And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth, saying, (Genesis 23:3)
²⁰And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth. (Genesis 23:20).

One of the seven nations of Canaan. Deut. 7:1¹When the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou; (Deuteronomy 7:1).

Dwelt in Hebron. Gen. 23:2, 3, 19²And Sarah died in Kirjath-arba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her. ³And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth, saying, (Genesis 23:2‑3)
¹⁹And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan. (Genesis 23:19).

Land of, promised to Israel. Gen. 15:20²⁰And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, (Genesis 15:20). ²⁴And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them. (Deuteronomy 7:24).
