Martha received Him into her house.
Martha lived with her sister and her brother. They provided a home where the Lord Jesus felt free to visit. We don’t know that the Lord had any other place to go, but He was always welcomed here. Martha did the cooking and served the meal and is an example for us to follow in that we too should show kindness and hospitality to others. What a privilege for this woman to serve at the table where Jesus sat. It is a Christian privilege and responsibility to be hospitable. (NOTE: Please read the message inside the front cover.)
