To the Father. Psa. 91:14¹⁴Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. (Psalm 91:14). John 14:31³¹But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence. (John 14:31).

To His church. SoS. 4:8, 9. SoS. 5:1. John 15:9⁹As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. (John 15:9). Eph. 5:25²⁵Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; (Ephesians 5:25).

To those who love Him. Prov. 8:17¹⁷I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. (Proverbs 8:17), John 14:21²¹He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (John 14:21).

MANIFESTED IN HIS

Coming to seek the lost. Luke 19:10¹⁰For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10).

Praying for His enemies. Luke 23:34³⁴Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. (Luke 23:34).

Giving Himself for us. Gal. 2:20²⁰I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20).

Dying for us. John 15:13¹³Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13). 1 Jon. 3:16.

Washing away our sins. Rev. 1:5⁵And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (Revelation 1:5).

Interceding for us. Heb. 7:25²⁵Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25). Heb. 9:24²⁴For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: (Hebrews 9:24).

Sending the Spirit. Psa. 68:18¹⁸Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them. (Psalm 68:18). John 16:7⁷Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. (John 16:7).

Rebuke and chastisements. Rev. 3:19¹⁹As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. (Revelation 3:19).

Passeth knowledge. Eph. 3:19¹⁹And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (Ephesians 3:19).

To be imitated. John 13:34³⁴A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (John 13:34). John 15:12¹²This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. (John 15:12). Eph. 5:2²And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savor. (Ephesians 5:2). 1 John. 3:16.

TO SAINTS, IS

Unquenchable. SoS. 8:7.

Constraining. 2 Cor. 5:14¹⁴For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: (2 Corinthians 5:14).

Unchangeable. John 13:1¹Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end. (John 13:1).

Indissoluble. Rom. 8:35³⁵Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (Romans 8:35).

Obedient saints abide in. John 15:10¹⁰If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. (John 15:10).

Saints obtain victory through. Rom. 8:37³⁷Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. (Romans 8:37).

Is the banner over His saints. SoS. 2:4.

Is the ground of His saints love to Him. Luke 7:47⁴⁷Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. (Luke 7:47).

To saints, shall be acknowledged even by enemies. Rev. 3:9⁹Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. (Revelation 3:9).

Illustrated. Matt. 18:11-13¹¹For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. ¹²How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? ¹³And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. (Matthew 18:11‑13).
