Chapter 1.
I was born in sin and shapen in iniquity. Psa. 51.5.
I desired not the knowledge of God's ways.
Job 21:14

Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways. (Job 21:14)

But lived in the pleasures of sin.
Heb. 11:25

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; (Hebrews 11:25)

And had no fear of God before my eyes.
Rom. 3:18

There is no fear of God before their eyes. (Romans 3:18)

Chapter 2.
I awakened from my sleep.
Jonah 1:6

So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not. (Jonah 1:6)

Saw that I was guilty before God.
Rom. 3:19

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. (Romans 3:19)

Dreaded the wages of sin—Death.
Rom. 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

And that which was after death—the Judgment.
Heb. 9:27

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27)

Chapter 3.
I learned that all my righteousnesses were
but filthy rags in God's sight.
Isa. 64:6

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. (Isaiah 64:6)

Saw that I was without strength and
unable to save myself.
Rom. 5:6

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. (Romans 5:6)

Read that salvation was not of works.
Eph. 2:8, 9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8‑9)

But was pointed to the Savior which God had provided, and saw that He had suffered
for my sins on the cross.
1 Peter 3:18

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: (1 Peter 3:18)

And that God was now offering me a complete
pardon through Him.
Acts 13:38, 39

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. (Acts 13:38‑39)

Chapter 4.
I believed on the Lord Jesus Christ
and was saved.
Acts 16:31

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:31)

Was justified and forgiven the very
moment I believed.
Acts 13:38, 39

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. (Acts 13:38‑39)

Am therefore at peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rom. 5:1

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (Romans 5:1)

I also have joy in God through Him.
Rom. 5:11

Chapter 5.
I am now waiting for God's Son
from heaven.
1 Thess. 1:10

And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. (1 Thessalonians 1:10)

And know that I shall be
forever with the Lord.
1 Thess. 4:17

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4:17)

In the Father's house.
John 14:2

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (John 14:2)

To sing unto Him that loved me and
washed me from my sins in His own blood.
Rev. 1:5

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (Revelation 1:5)
