1CO 10:4-5⁴And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. ⁵But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. (1 Corinthians 10:4‑5)

They drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them. . . . But with many of them God was not well pleased.

All the Jews drank of God’s provision, but God was not pleased with all of them. Why not? Some were pretenders. They faked their devotedness and on the inside were not right with God. Are you a pretender? You know the right answers, the right behavior, the right dress, etc. but your heart is not cleansed. You may pass as a Christian all your life but in the end you’ll find that God is not well-pleased with you because you never really accepted Jesus as your own Savior. Get right with God today.
