2SA 9:6

Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant! (2 Samuel 9:6)
When Mephibosheth . . . was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence.
2 Sam. 9:6

Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant! (2 Samuel 9:6)
Mephibosheth was the lame son of Jonathan. When he came into the King of Israel’s presence, he was reverential. Why? Because the King had showed him great kindness when he didn’t deserve it. How about us? The King of Kings has showed us immense kindness. He died so that we wouldn’t have to. This ought to make us fall on our face (at least in our hearts) and show reverence. Let’s do it as we meet around the Savior today to worship.
