To justify the wicked and to condemn the righteous is to call evil good, and good evil (Isa. 5:20). Jehovah would have judgment according to truth. What is opposed to this is an abomination. Observe that to justify necessarily means to clear, or to declare righteous; not, as some theologians would have it, to
make
righteous.
