We live in a very polluted world, all because of sin. Yet, the Lord wants His people to be pure. How can we do this, when there is so much contamination all around us?
When Paul wrote to the Philippians (ch. 4:8), he told them to think on “whatsoever things are pure.” Also, Timothy was told that, no matter how morally dark things became, there would still be others he could fellowship with who had “a pure heart.”
When Jesus takes control of government and comes as King of kings and Lord of lords, His name shall be great among the Gentiles and incense and a pure offering will be in every place.
Remember that the Lord Jesus gave Himself for us that He might redeem us and purify us unto Himself. “Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled” (Titus 1:1515Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. (Titus 1:15)).
