Christ  .  .  .  did no sin.
The verse begins with Christ being “made sin for us.” What does this mean? Christ was the Son of God and He came to earth as a man. He had no sinful nature because He was God and therefore He did not sin. But at Calvary God punished Him for our sins as if He had done them Himself. “All our sins were laid upon Him, Jesus bore them on the tree.” His love to us was so great that He was willing, the sinless One, to be made sin so that we could be forgiven and go to heaven. What a Savior we have!
