Meditate . . . ; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
What the Apostle Paul is encouraging Timothy to do is to study the Scriptures. Without adequate study in schoolwork, your grades are not very good. Without adequate study of and meditation over the Scriptures, your ability to instruct others will be limited or non-existent. Let’s be like Timothy and study the Scriptures so that others may see and benefit by our spiritual growth.
