It is most blessed to come to the place where we are willing to have our sins brought out to the light, in the presence of divine perfect love. If we are to be happy, it must be with God. The perfectness of the love that is in Christ makes me glad to be in the light. It shows me all that I am. It gives truth in the inward parts. Listen to the Apostle Paul's confession; "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief."
1 Timothy 1:15
15
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. (1 Timothy 1:15)
.
Have you had all your sins entirely out before God? They are better known to Him than they are to you. Christ has confessed my sins in the presence of a God of judgment. There is divine competency to bear our sins. We are in the dust as to ourselves, but we look up to God in the consciousness and certainty that He loves us as He loves Jesus Himself. That is the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free. Have you that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to know that God looks at you through Him, as white as snow, because you believed that "the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin"?
1 John 1:7
7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)
.
Oh, it is a blessed thing to find truth in
the inward
parts, and to have confidence in a divine love that is above all evil. Does the light of God's holiness make you happy or uncomfortable? Come to Him just as you are. "Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood,... to Him be glory and dominion forever And ever. Amen."
Revelation 1:5, 6
5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (Revelation 1:5‑6)
