God could have saved us without making us His children. It is so amazing that God in His love wanted us as His children. We will be like Jesus when we see Him. This means there will be no more sorrow or depression, no more sickness or disease, no more sin or death. We will be like Jesus. When we know this, we will want to keep ourselves pure now, even as Jesus is pure.
If a person has a reputation of practicing sin, that person is of the devil. Jesus died on the cross to deliver that person from the works of the devil. The life that we receive when we are born of God does not continue with the habit of practicing sin because it is the life of Jesus. In Jesus there is no sin.
When a person is known for the good works that he does, it is because he has the righteousness of God in him. Little by little he is becoming like Jesus. As we become more like Jesus, we will lay down our lives for our brethren. We might suffer with being tired or hungry or poor or sick or even with death in serving our brethren.
If our heart condemns us because of something bad we did, we shouldn’t try to hide it from God. God is greater than our hearts and He knows everything we do. If our lives are pleasing to God, we will have a good conscience. We will be in communion with God so we will know what to ask for according to His will, and then we will receive what we ask.
